GCC and islamic nations at cross roads

US Congress overwhelmingly rejected President Obama’s veto of JASTA?

9/11 Attack: Was it sponsored ‘by the Saudi Govt. or its Officials? ‘NO’. JASTA is an error of intention and not judgement. Today it is Saudi Arabia; tomorrow it can be any other GCC or Muslim nation.

The US Congress failed to protect the principle of Sovereignty of other nations as enshrined in UN Charter and several International Conventions/Treaties.

What is the option left for Saudi Govt? To approach UN or ICC for justice in its favour and if they don’t get it. Then just to bear the cost of such compensation and/or pass a similar law against US Marines? In future, JASTA may be applied to other GCC and Muslim nations; because JASTA is based on Islam phobia. Otherwise even after the 9/11 Commission’s Report of not having any sufficient proof against the Saudi Govt. and/or its Officials JASTA would not have been passed.

Why it is done by the US Congress? To understand it, we have to briefly reflect on the major events which took place after WWII.

1. Six Days War of 1967 (between Egypt, Jordan and Syria against Israel) established Israel as a strong regional military power.

2. 1978-89 periods changed the course of regional history.

A. The Iranian/ Islamic Revolution.

That was the beginning of a ‘Divisive Muslim World’. Export of extremism/ terrorism can’t be Islamic Revolution.

GCC nations are direct victims of the Iranian Policy of training and exporting Terrorists to other Muslim Countries and indirectly Yemen and Syria.

Invasion of Afghanistan by Soviet Forces 1978-79

What happened for next nine years? More than one million people died and 6 million people became refugees. To drive the Soviets out, the US and Allies supported the Mujahedeen. Where are those Mujahedeens whom the US supported? Are Talibanis the same people?

Above events redrew global alliances. The real winners are Iran, Israel and Taliban. Israel is a sworn enemy of Muslim world; Iranian activities have resulted in ‘Divided Muslim World’ and Taliban has created Islam Phobia.

3. Iraq-Iran war: This established Iran as a force to reckon with by western powers (P5+1 Agreement is the result). 8 years’ war created another ‘Arab Leader’ called Saddam Husain.  The cost of that war was unbearable by the Iraqi Govt.

Iraq invaded Kuwait. Saddam was misinformed by the then US Ambassador to Iraq who told him ‘the US has no opinion on Arab-Arab conflict’. Saddam mistook it as a green signal to invade Kuwait.

The fall of Saddam Husain proved very costly to Iraq and created  power vacuum, which was later partly filled up by ISIL, after the chaos created by post-Saddam Iraqi leadership in Iraq.

Why the US, which supported him against Iran, failed to help Iraqi Govt to resolve their dispute with Kuwait? Was there any hidden agenda to destabilize MIDDLE EAST for Oil?

4. ARAB SPRING :

Mantra: Democracy is the only recipe of any good national Govt. and world peace. It started with Tunisia then to entire GCC.

NOW, we see civil war in Syria, where Iran and Russia are openly engaged. In Syria STATE TERRORISM is prevailing. The problem of Refugees has made the confusion worse confounded. It has become difficult to identify the real Terrorists.

In view of foregoing:

1. To confront the Anti-Islam sentiments; just having Arab League or GCC Federation would not help; but the time has come to expand the base to include other Muslim nations to form a United Global Front to defend the real image and message of Islam along with absolute sovereignty.

2. Then what is the Role of nations like Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan and Turkey?

Such nations must make efforts to convince country like Iran to give up their policy of expansionism and sectarianism and start meaningful dialogue with GCC nations for a United Global Front. Help Iraq to rebuild itself. These two major steps could be the long-term solution for permanent regional peace. It may ultimately solve Syria crisis too.

3. GCC must create world class Educational Systems. Strengthen Islamic Banking and related institutions to encourage for ‘USD free’ economy. GCC needs a single currency to have ‘Economic Freedom’. Real Freedom follows, if you are self-reliant in every aspect of your national life.

This is God sent opportunity to unite, defend and clear the Image of Islam, which is absolutely maligned by the likes of ISIL, Al Qaida etc.
