Fine upheld in scuffle case
Manama : The High Criminal Appeals Court upheld the fine handed down to a 34-year-old woman, who beat up her husband’s second wife, aged 56, in front of him.
The scuffle occurred in the second wife’s house, where the husband of the duo was present. “I was surprised to see her entering my house and attacking me,” the second wife said.
However, the defendant denied assaulting her, stating that she was the one who was attacked. Prosecutors earlier charged both of the women on grounds of physical assault, and a court fined them BD50 each.
The first wife, however, appealed the sentence, but her attempt to overturn the sentence proved unfruitful.
