Curtains go up for Bahrain International Music fest today

ManamaThe 25th Bahrain International Music Festival will begin today at the Bahrain National Theatre at 8pm. 

Tunisian Artist Lutfi Bushnaq, renowned composer and singer, will perform a concert entitled “Liqa’a”. The concert will include Egyptian music, Algerian-inflected “Raï” music, and traditional spiritual music.

Bushnaq is famous for his seminal crossover album,  “Ma’luf Tunisi,” which exposed international music audiences for the first time to the authentic ma’luf music.

 The Bahrain International Music Festival  is a part of the promotion programmes of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities under the title ‘Your Destination Bahrain’.

Tickets for the concerts can be purchased through Virgin Megastore’s online ticket portal or at its store in Bahrain City Centre. The festival will continue until October 22.
