Duo imprisoned for planting fake bombs
Manama : Two Bahraini defendants were sentenced to five years behind bars, by the High Criminal Court on charges of placing fake bombs in Demistan.
Police officers discovered the device on June 1, 2015 after receiving a tip-off from residents in the area. Bomb disposal experts later found it as a hoax bomb with a box attached to a watch and a phone.
Prosecutors put the duo on trial after investigations established their involvement in the incident. They had been charged of planting a fake bomb.
