Tawfeeq Al Moayed and Ahmed Majid wins stableford competition
Manama : Tawfeeq Al Moayed and Ahmed Majid (23 points)won this weeks Monday Night Lights competition at the Royal Golf Club.
The victory was of a narrow margin, as duo of Jamie Bowen and Michael Brightmore had to settle for the runners up spot in the end.
After achieving the same score they missed out on count back. Rob Mills and Adrian Morgan (21) took third place.
The betterball pairs stableford competition was played under floodlights on the back nine holes of the Club’s Montgomerie championship course.
The evening was rounded off with a prize presentation ceremony in the Club’s Members’ Lounge.
The Monday Night Lights competitions over nine holes are open to club members and to non-members with an official handicap and tee off with a 6:30pm shotgun start.
Non handicap golfers are also welcome to play and can use their scores to work towards achieving an official handicap.
Results: 1 Tawfeeq Al Moayed/Ahmed Majid (23 points on count back), 2 Jamie Bowen/Michael Brightmore (23), 3 Rob Mills/Adrian Morgan (21), 4 Murtuz Zamanly/Ibrahim Adel (20 on count back, 5 Adel Al Moayed/Riyad Al Saie (20).
