Woman granted bail
Manama : A Bahraini woman accused in a drug peddling case has been granted a bail on BD200, according to court files.
The woman along with her husband was arrested at the Bahrain International Airport while trying to smuggle 14260 grams of shabu and 12 narcotic pills.
The woman told prosecutors that the drugs were given to them by a Bahraini man in Malaysia and she was not aware of it.
The High Criminal Court had earlier extended the remand of the duo on several occasions. The husband will remain in police custody, pending trial.
