KU elects new students council
Manama : Kingdom University (KU) elected new members to its students council yesterday.
Ten out of the 15 nominees were inducted into the council following the annual election held at the university campus.
Mohammed Bader Budawas was appointed as the new president of the council. He received 66.3 per cent of the total votes polled.
Khalid Ali Buhailah became the Student Council’s vice president receiving 68.3pc of the total votes polled.
Other elected members of the council are: Omaima Mohammed Almalood, Hussain Ibrahim Fuzai, Sumaiya Saqer Alatawi, Mohammed AbdulWahid, Hamad Alhajri, Tamim AbdulSamad Alnawaf, Mohammed Salah Zaid, and Wasan AbdulHameed AbdulGaffar.
Speaking about the election, Kingdom University President Dr. Yusuf AbdulGhaffar said, “I would like to congratulate the newly elected members of the student council, as we are confident of their ability to perform their duties above and beyond the expectations that have been set before them by bringing about a positive change to this university.”
The council aims at being the link between the students and Kingdom University’s administration, which allows them to be involved in the decision making process,” he added.
