Shaping the future

Manama : Bahrain will continue to invest in citizens’ futures in order to achieve excellence, stressed Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

Prince Salman made the statements while visiting Amna bint Wahab School in Muharraq, which recently received the government’s Educational Excellence Award at Bahrain’s Government Forum 2016.

The Crown Prince welcomed the important role played by educational institutions in facilitating cultural and economic development across the country. Prince Salman also highlighted the importance of cultivating and promoting reading habits in schools, which directly enhance learning skills and knowledge. 

Amna bint Wahab School has achieved outstanding status three times in a row following a comprehensive assessment carried out by the National Authority for Qualifications and Quality Assurance of Education and Training (QQA). 

Prince Salman also pointed out that this achievement would help in national development and support long-term sustainable development of Bahrain. 

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s firm commitment to accelerating development across Bahrain’s education sector was lauded. “The King’s commitment has resulted in the delivery of initiatives that enable citizens to reach their full potential,” Prince Salman said.

The Crown Prince also expressed his pride to share the significant milestone with the school, and praised the contributions of its administrative staff.

Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, who is the President of the Supreme Council for Education and Training Development, and Minister of Education Dr. Majid Al Nuaimi accompanied the Crown Prince during his visit.
