Man imprisoned for selling drugs
Manama : A Bahraini man has been jailed for ten years along with BD5000 fine for selling drugs.
Based on a tip off received by the anti-drug department at the Ministry of Interior, a sting operation was carried out against the suspect.
The defendant reportedly sold hashish worth BD100 to an undercover police officer during the operation.
Instead of arresting him, police officers tracked the defendant to his apartment and kept tab on him. He was nabbed later.
Court files say that police seized several types of drugs from his home. The convicted man was charged on grounds of possessing and selling of drugs.
