Bahrain marks World Energy Day
Manama : The Kingdom yesterday joined the international community in marking the “World Energy Day”, observed annually on October 22.
On the occasion, the Standardisation and Metrology Directorate at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism highlighted the introduction of control programmes to conserve energy and rationalise its consumption. It also raised awareness on the need to preserve energy.
The World Energy Day aims to raise awareness on the importance of energy, as well as positive impacts on supporting people economically and socially, and on ensuring their well-being.
