Bahrain keen to develop ties with India : HM King
Manama : His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has welcomed the first meeting of the Bahraini-Indian Security Committee, which is expected to boost bilateral relations, security cooperation and exchange of expertise between the two sides.
HM the King also underlined Bahrain’s keenness to develop relations with India, looking forward to enhancing them in political, economic, trade, investment, security and cultural areas in the interest of the two countries.
During his meeting with India’s Union Minister for Home Affairs, Rajnath Singh at Al Safriya Palace yesterday, King Hamad commended the role of the Indian community and their contributions to the progress march witnessed by various fields in Bahrain.
Praising the historical relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and India, His Majesty highlighted the mutual respect and cooperation in various fields. They also discussed regional and international developments. HM the King pointed out India’s efforts to maintain international security, stability and peace.
The Indian Minister conveyed to HM the King greetings of India’s President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi and to the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people wishes of further progress and prosperity.
HM the King welcomed the Indian Minister to Bahrain and asked him to convey his regards to India’s President and Prime Minister and to the friendly people of India.
Rajnath Singh lauded HM the King’s role in the development of the bilateral relations and caring for the Indian community, stressing his country’s aspiration to further bolster friendship and relations in the interest of the two countries and their people.
