Asian drug peddler sentenced 10 years imprisonment

A Pakistani national accused of selling heroine was sentenced to 10 years in prison by the High Criminal Court.
The accused was nabbed after his identity was revealed by a drug addict, who was nabbed in Muharraq as police were surveying the area for fugitives.
Police reportedly found the drug addict in an abnormal state.
When the sergeant asked him if he possessed any drugs, he revealed he had heroine cigarettes and medical injections.
He then told prosecutors he received the drugs from the accused.
The accused was nabbed by police following a sting operation. An undercover officer lured him into selling BD50 worth of heroine, following which was arrested red-handed.
The accused was also fined BD5000 by the same court, and he will be deported once he completes his jail time.
