Bahraini duo win first Bar Bahr
Manama : Mohammed Khalil and Salman Isa took first place in the first ever Red Bull Bar Bahr to hit the Kingdom. The duo controlled the final race on land and sea from the start and left the other teams vying for minor medals.
“This was an unprecedented race for Bahrain, and the outcome was totally unexpected. One person couldn’t have made it to the championship alone, so it was definitely a team effort that got us to the top,” said the duo.
Second place went to Isa Karimi and Ahmed Al Thawadi while Hassan Ahmed and Abdulla Al Jowder rounded the podium. Their winning team prize was a combination prize of cash and sporting accessories valued at about BHD1,000.
The contestants had to navigate a challenging track of man-made obstacles such as ramps, bumps and curves.
The event was organised by Red Bull Bahrain at Bahrain Bay, in collaboration the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibition Authority, PowerUp Magazine, Yamaha, GoPro, and OrangeMedia ME.
