Two get prison for hiding fugitives
Manama : A teacher and a fugitive cleric have been slapped with three years behind bars each for sheltering three wanted criminals.
According to court files, the cleric requested the teacher to lease his apartment for the trio despite knowing that they were wanted in security-related cases in
Bahrain. The trio reportedly were sentenced to 10 years behind bars each for their crimes.
Meanwhile, the teacher said that he had rented the apartment for BD200 in Sitra, where the trio stayed for five months. The cleric is believed to be residing outside Bahrain.
