CPISP holds meet for scholarship aspirants
Manama : The Crown Prince’s International Scholarship Programme (CPISP) held yesterday a series of presentations for students from government and private schools to explain the opportunities available under its 2018 programme and the process for applying to scholarships.
The applications for 2018 scholarships can be submitted from March 5 to 23, 2017. The application form will be available on the website www.cpisp.bh during the period. Eligible applicants will be invited by email for a series of tests to assess their English proficiency and critical reasoning abilities.
The assessments are organised by the CPISP in cooperation with the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF).
The CPISP criteria requires applicants to have Bahraini citizenship, be enrolled in the 11th grade and/or set to graduate from secondary school in 2018, and have an accumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 97pc or above for grade 10 and the first semester of grade 11.
The CPISP gave a brief presentation on the Programme’s candidacy stage, where a minimum of 60 applicants will be selected based on the results of the qualifying tests and their GPA.
At least 40 students from Ministry of Education Schools and 20 students from private schools will reach this stage of the assessment.
The candidacy stage will involve training, conducted in cooperation with BIBF, as well as preparatory courses for the IELTS and SAT exams, after which the final ten scholarship recipients will be selected.
Scholarships will be allocated to three government schoolboys, three government schoolgirls, two private schoolboys and two private schoolgirls.
