BHB kicks-off TradeQuest Challenge
Manama : Bahrain Bourse (BHB) has announced the launch of TradeQuest Challenge for Government School students for the academic year 2016-2017 on Monday for the 20th consecutive year. The event was held at Bahrain Bourse’s premises.
TradeQuest is a simulated business-education partnership programme that focuses on investment trading in world financial markets.
The programme aims at stimulating relevant learning through realistic experience. TradeQuest consists of three trading periods where schools are required to make a presentation at the end of each trading period in front of the Investment Review Committee to outline their performance, objectives, and strategies.
The 2016-2017 Government Schools TradeQuest programme includes 10 school teams representing 10 Govt. Schools and they are: Al Hidd Secondary Girls School, Khawla Secondary Girls School, Saar Secondary Girls, Al Noor Secondary Girls School, Jidhafs Secondary Girls School, Istiqlal Secondary Girls School, Isa Town Secondary Boys School, Al Muharraq Secondary Boys School, Al Ta’awen Secondary Boys School, and Ahmed Al Omran Secondary Boys School.
Several financial and banking institutions in Bahrain are supporting TradeQuest and taking part in the programme including United Gulf Bank, Securities and Investment Company (SICO), J.P. Morgan Bank, National Bank of Bahrain (NBB), Al Salam Bank, Tamkeen, Mumtalakat, BBK, ABC Bank and
CFA Bahrain.
