Gulf Air wins three IT awards

ManamaGulf Air announced it has received three awards for its Information Technology achievements. 

The awards were for: “Technology Innovation of the Year” at the Aviation Business Awards 2016 (the leading awards programmes for the Middle East aerospace industry), “Hospitality and Tourism Deployment of the Year” at the seventh annual Computer News Middle East (CNME) ICT Achievement Awards (organised by CPI Media Group, a leading IT publisher) and “Best Airline in Technology - Middle East” at the Global Enterprise Connect (GEC) Awards 2016 (one of the region’s biggest celebrations of IT
excellence). 

Dr. Jassim Haji, Gulf Air Director Information Technology, on behalf of the airline, accepted the awards. 

Commenting on the wins, Gulf Air Chief Executive Officer Maher Salman Al Musallam said, “By continuously improving our IT services we are ensuring a more efficient organisation and a more seamless offering to our passengers – essential in today’s fast paced digital world.” 

Gulf Air has received numerous accolades for its IT achievements in the past, totalling 11 prestigious awards.  Most recently, the airline won the Best IT Security Project Award during the Security Advisor Middle East event. Gulf Air currently operates flights to 40 cities in 23 countries spanning three continents.
