Man denies intentional murder of his brother

Manama : A Bahraini accused of murdering his brother told the High Criminal Court yesterday that it was ‘unintentional’ and  ‘accidental’.

The 23-year-old man is believed to have stabbed his brother, aged 21, to death, but the circumstances of the incident are still unclear.

DT News had reported earlier that Jassim Mohammed had stabbed his brother Mahmood Mohammed to death at Hamad Town in the early hours of October 30.

The police had recovered the objects used for the crime, following which the case was referred to the Public Prosecution.

An autopsy revealed that the death was caused due to a knife that penetrated his heart and left lung, which led to profound bleeding.

The judge ordered the defendant to be kept in police custody for 15 days.
