PM receives NAO report 2015-16

Manama : The 13th report of the National Audit Office was submitted to Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa yesterday at the Gudaibiya Palace. 

The report was presented to the Premier by National Audit Office (NAO) President Hassan Khalifa Al Jalahma.  

The report for the fiscal year 2015-2016 was developed based on the Article 19 of the NAO’s law.

Receiving the report, the Prime Minister hailed the strenuous efforts exerted by the Audit office in protecting the public money from extravagance. The Premier also highlighted the efforts taken by the government in tightening control over public money spending.  

Commending the role of the NAO President and staff in this regard, the Prime Minister said this have resulted in the Audit office attaining highest degrees of credibility and
transparency.

On the occasion, the NAO President lauded the directives issued by the Prime Minister in correcting irregularities. 

Looking ahead, he affirmed that the NAO would continue its cooperation with the government and commitment in ensuring national interests and to achieve common national goals.

While praising the interest shown by the Premier in following up the implementation of the report, Al Jalahma noted that such efforts would contribute in enhancing the performance of the government. 

Al Jalahma also praised the cooperation of ministers and heads of government departments, which helped NAO to assume the duties assigned to it in the best way.
