BIC lined up an action-packed weekend on Friday

Manama : Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) has lined up an action-packed weekend starting on Friday with non-stop thrills for all speed enthusiasts to enjoy the Ultimate Track Experience, which offers a pure adrenaline rush in a Clio Cup sports car and a pair of ultra-quick Radical prototypes.

Followed on Saturday with an Open Track Day for members of the public who would like to bring their own cars or motorbikes and take them for a drive around BIC’s track.

Both the Ultimate Track Experience and Open Track are two of the most popular activities held regularly at BIC. They both offer a true racing thrill with all the action happening within a safe and controlled environment.

In the Ultimate Track Experience, available to race fans are a Clio Cup drive, an SR1 drive, and an SR3 passenger ride. Each activity will be held along BIC’s 2.55-kilometre Inner Track.

The Clio Cup drive will be give clients an exciting look into the racing capabilities of one of the world’s most popular sports cars.

The Renault-manufactured Clio Cup features a 1.6-litre Turbocharged engine. It can generate up to 220bhp and 6,000rpm, and it has a paddle shift racing gearbox and an FIA-specification roll cage and seats. All experiences have certain criteria that need to be met by interested participants.

Meanwhile, in the Open Track Day participants will get a taste of racing around the 5.412-kilometre track and can avail half or full day packages from 9am to 4pm.

All vehicles must first go through scrutineering before being allowed to take to the track. Those taking part must also own a valid driver’s licence and must be wearing the appropriate clothing along with closed-toe footwear.
