‘Scrap charges on credit card users’
Manama : Bahrain’s legislators, in the weekly meeting of the Legislative and Legal Affairs Committee in the House of Representatives yesterday, called to stop the additional charging of credit cards users in the country.
Committee Member Mohammed Al Maarifi confirmed in a statement that the committee demanded the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) to cease collecting additional charges from credit cards users.
Al Maarifi also said that the proposal was “constitutionally fit” and will be referred to the concerned committee for more studying.
He added that the committee also passed several other draft laws, proposals in relation to international pacts, agreements, developmental and commercial projects.
