‘Bahrain a role model for other countries’
Manama : Bahrain is a model for other countries to emulate both at the regional and international levels, according to Betsy Mathieson, Secretary General of the Bahrain Federation of Expatriate Associations (BFEA).
She made the statement while pointing out the major role of “This is Bahrain” in projecting Bahrain worldwide and highlighting the social cohesion of the Bahraini community.
“Bahrain has a well known religious pluralism for a very long time. All expatriate communities in Bahrain are living in harmony and peace thanks to the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and his visionary policy to preserve the one-family spirit in the community,” she said.
The BFEA Secretary General pointed out that “This is Bahrain” was started in London before it was held in many other countries.
“We had the honour of meeting Supreme Council for Youth & Sport Chairman, Bahrain Olympic Committee President & Royal Charity Organisation (RCO) Chairman HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa who patronised the signing of many agreements which will contribute to further highlighting Bahrain’s role in various areas,” she said.
