Salman crowned ‘King of Drift’

ManamaSalman Abdullah was crowned Bahrain’s ‘King of Drift’ for the fifth time in a row at the Red Bull Car Park Drift Bahrain Qualifier, held in association with Bahrain International Circuit at their premises.

As the top drifter, with 378 points, Abdullah will go on to represent Bahrain in front of a massive crowd at the Final hosted by Oman next month.

The Bahrain qualifier, back for the first time since 2013, showcased seven of the kingdom’s most skilled drifters as they battled it out at speed on the twists and turns of a challenging track.

Roaring, smoky engines added to a high-octane atmosphere enjoyed by fans and spectators and the track was designed by Red Bull Athlete and Rally Champion, Abdo Feghali from Lebanon.

“I plan to continue to win every Red Bull Car Park Drift in Bahrain!” He knows that that’s no easy feat, though, as he noted, “The competition’s just come back from a hiatus, so I know the level of competition will be much stronger next year,” Salman Abdullah said.
