Botched surgery: Hospital ordered to pay BD30,000
Manama : The High Civil Court ordered a local private hospital to compensate a female dentist with BD30,000 over botched cosmetic surgeries.
The victim is said to have been left disfigured following body lift and breast implant surgeries done by a GCC national doctor working at the hospital. The defendant paid BD19,000 for the surgeries.
However, following the surgery, she was admitted to Salmaniya Medical Complex suffering from very high temperature and severe pain in her surgical wounds.
It was later revealed that the cuts were poisoned and the operation room was not sterilised.
Shockingly, the doctor who operated the victim was found to be a general doctor, who lacked any specialisation to perform such surgeries.
