Focus on medical research need of the hour

Manama : Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa yesterday called for cooperation among GCC research centres to help governments here in developing best preventive and curative measures. 

Underlining the importance of hosting international forums specialised in modern diseases, the premier said this would help in studying the pattern and causes of diseases extensively. 

The Prime minister was receiving  Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA), Shaikh Abdullah bin Khalid Al Khalifa, a number of Royal Family members and officials at Gudaibiya palace, yesterday. 

On the occasion, Prince Khalifa also stressed full support of the government for holding forums and conferences in medical, scientific and health sectors to benefit from their outcomes at the local level. 

The Premier noted that the government’s keenness on providing therapeutic services for citizens is an important right of the citizens. 

HRH Prime Minister also highlighted government’s efforts in developing services and facilities in various fields, pointing out the significance of health awareness campaigns in increasing knowledge and protection from diseases.
