Gulf Air marks route anniversary with schedule increase

Manama : Gulf Air yesterday announced an upcoming schedule increase on its direct Hyderabad service from seven to nine weekly flights starting 17th December 2016. 

The latest development will meet high passenger demand to/from Hyderabad and coincides with the 2 year anniversary of the airline’s operations to the city.

Commenting on the upcoming increase, Gulf Air Chief Commercial Officer, Ahmed Janahi said: “Gulf Air’s increased Hyderabad frequency will enhance our existing service to India’s “City of Pearls” – one of our six destinations in India and a key market for the airline. 

“We have seen strong and growing demand over the past two years on our Hyderabad route and, with additional flights between Bahrain and Hyderabad, we are offering enhanced schedule flexibility for our valued travellers while also creating improved connections for those passengers travelling to and from Gulf Air’s network of onwards destinations across the globe,” he added. 

Catering to over 6.5 million Indian nationals residing in the Gulf region, Gulf Air has provided direct air services between the Republic of India and the Kingdom of Bahrain since 1960. In India Gulf Air currently serves six cities: New Delhi, Mumbai, Kochi, Chennai, Thiruvananthapuram and Hyderabad. 

The additional Hyderabad flights will take effect from 17th December 2016 and flights can be booked online at www.gulfair.com, by calling the airline’s 24 hour Worldwide Contact Centre on (+973) 17373737, or through any Gulf Air sales offices and approved travel agencies.

As per the new schedule, on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday, Flight GF274 will fly from Bahrain (02:55) to Hyderabad (09:25) and Flight GF275 will fly from Hyderabad (10:25) to Bahrain (12:35).  

On Tuesday and Saturday, Flight GF276 and GF277 will operate. GF276 will depart from Bahrain at 14:30 and reaches Hyderabad by 21:00. GF277 departs from Hyderabad at 22:00 and reaches Bahrain by 00:10+1. 

GF278 will fly on Monday and Friday from Bahrain (22:55) to Hyderabad (05:25+1). On Saturday, Gulf Air Flight will fly from Hyderabad (06:30) to Bahrain (08:40).
