Shaikh Nasser praised
Manama : Supreme Council for Youth and Sports deputy general secretary and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) general secretary Abdulrahman Askar congratulated the leadership on Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Supreme Council for Youth & Sport Chairman , Bahrain Olympic Committee President & Royal Charity Organisation (RCO) Chairman winning the ANOC Merit Award in Doha yesterday.
Askar also congratulated Bahraini athlete Ruth Jebet on being honoured for her gold medal at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games in Brazil.
This statement was announced during his attendance at the 21st ANOC General Assembly in Doha.
Askar said Shaikh Nasser had significantly contributed to the development of sport, noting the decision was a result of the hard work led by Shaikh Nasser and committee vice-president Shaikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
