Witnesses to testify on December 12 in adultery, forgery case

ManamaThe prosecution witnesses will testify on December 12 in the trial of a 32-year-old businesswoman accused of adultery and forgery.

The case against the woman was filed by her husband, from whom she has two girls. The duo were married for more than 14 years, according to the husband’s statements.

He stated that he found out that the defendant was having an affair with another man, and both of them travelled to Egypt, where they had sex together.

Police investigations have verified the plaintiff’s claims, according to which the woman has been arrested, the court files said.

The 32-year-old woman claimed that she got divorced from the defendant after filing a case against him. She also presented a copy of the divorce certificate, which was later found to be fake. Following which, she was also charged with forgery by the court.

The woman, in her testimony, stated that she got married to the man she slept with in Egypt. They did so as he is a soldier and it would take time for him to get permission in Bahrain.

“He filed a case against me because there are lawsuits between us, and the Shariat Court was going to proceed with hearing three of them,” the woman said.
