Vandals block roads to school by setting fire
Manama : Roads to an elementary school in Muharraq Governorate were blocked by fire on Thursday, it was officially announced yesterday.
Education Ministry confirmed that a group of vandals set fire on the roads leading to Al Dair Primary Boys’ School.
In a press statement, the ministry’s Public Relations and Media Directorate described the perpetrators as “terrorists” and said they prevented students from reaching the school.
The directorate also clarified that the fire was doused by the school guard.
“Such shameful acts that target depriving students of their right to receive education is condemned. They are against Islamic values and are contrary to all international charters and humanitarian norms,” it added.
