Methary shines in richest race
Manama : The favourite Methary owned by Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla bin Isa Al Khalifa trained by James Naylor and ridden by Alberto Sanna won the richest race for the Stewards Cup for all classes of locally bred three years and upwards over 2,000 metres and worth BD2,000 in the third meeting of the season at the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club in Sakhir.
A length behind was second favourite Knight And Day owned by Al Nasseriyeh, trained by Allan Smith and ridden by Brett Doyle, with the third place favourite being Khamila owned by Shaikh Isa bin Abdulla bin Isa Al Khalifa, trained by James Naylor and ridden by Andrew Elliott, with fourth place going to Barracuda owned by Al Mallah Syndicate, trained by Ramzi Al Baqlawi and ridden by Hussain Makki.
