Saudi Arabia bulwark of the Arab identity: PM

Manama : Saudi Arabia is the bulwark of the Arab identity and defender of Muslim dignity and unity, said Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa.

The Prime Minister was speaking while being received by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud at his palace in Riyadh yesterday.

Saudi Crown Prince, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior Prince Mohammed bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud also attended the meeting. They reviewed ways of boosting historic relations of cooperation between both countries at all levels.

The PM stressed Saudi efforts to boost the role of the Islamic world as a global power and thanked King Salman for his support to Bahrain.

Prince Khalifa conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and wished Saudi Arabia and its people more progress and prosperity.

King Salman and Prince Khalifa reviewed regional and international developments and stressed the importance to continue adopting initiatives to promote the GCC bloc and enhance integration of its member states. 

The PM lauded the role of Saudi in rallying ranks to defend the interests of the Gulf nations.

They underscored the importance of broadening the scope of cooperation between each GCC member state in order to boost regional security and growth.

The Premier affirmed that Bahraini-Saudi ties represent a unique model of deep-rooted historic relations between the two countries.

King Salman also held a lunch banquet in honour of Prince Khalifa. It was attended by the Saudi Crown Prince, members of the royal family, ministers and senior officials.
