Central Market to be developed
Manama : A comprehensive plan for the development of Manama Central Market will be implemented by the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning.
This is line with the directives of Prime minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa.
The first phase will be launched by the end of current year at a total cost of BD770,000, disclosed Undersecretary Dr. Nabil bin Mohammed Abulfateh yesterday.
The Undersecretary was speaking during a field visit to Manama Central Market. He was accompanied by Capital Trustees Board’s Director General Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa and a number of officials.
Abulfateh said the ministry attaches importance to the development of the central markets as they play a key role in providing the citizens’ and residents’ needs besides improving food security efforts in the Kingdom.
