Bahrain’s Zrira defeats Kolotvin
Manama : Bahrain’s Hamza Zrira of the KHK MMA team defeated Ukrain’s Roman Kolotvin in the 61kg bantamweight division debut yesterday in a unanimous decision on the second day of the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) second European Open Championships for Amateur MMA at the Arena of Sparta of Prague in the Czech Republic.
This win for Bahrain was a boost as KHK MMA fighters Abdullah Alfayez and Abbas Khan were eliminated in their 70kg category matches to Ermal Hadribeaj of Albania and Lee Hammond of Ireland by unanimous decisions respectively on the opening day.
HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Honourary President of the Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Association and founder of Khalid bin Hamad Mixed Martial Arts Organization (KHK MMA) thanked Alfayez and Khan for their efforts and strong technical performances despite their losses.
