Coffee shop closed for illegally serving sheesha
Manama : A coffee shop illegally serving sheesha (hookah) in the Northern Governorate has been shut by the authorities yesterday.
Industry, Commerce and Tourism Ministry confirmed on its official Instagram page that the coffee shop is located in Hamala and
the matter has been referred to the Public Prosecution.
The Ministry said that the decision came as a result of its continued efforts and responsibilities to monitor commercial establishments.
“The Ministry, based on complaints, inspected the coffee shop and discovered that it has been operating illegally without a permit. The coffee shop was shutdown and procedures are been taken to refer the violators to the Public Prosecution,” the ministry’ statement added, without mentioning the name of the coffee shop.
