RCSI education role commended

ManamaPrime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa hailed the pioneering educational role of Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), stressing its contribution in training Bahrainis and providing highly qualified Bahraini medical staff.

Prince Khalifa was speaking as he received Health Minister Faeqa bint Saeed Al Saleh at Gudaibiya Palace yesterday. The minister introduced to the PM a delegation from the RCSI led by its President Professor  John Hyland. 

The RCSI team is in Bahrain to attend the graduation ceremony of the 7th batch of the nursing and higher studies & researches colleges for 2016 held under the patronage of the PM.

Prince Khalifa underlined the government’s support to all institutions backing the health sector with qualified professionals who can provide the best medical services.

The Prime Minister also stressed Bahrain’s keenness to bolster cooperation with RCSI and benefit from its international reputation and achievements.

The PM underscored the government’s keenness to develop the health sector in Bahrain by availing of major international universities and attracting well-reputed doctors in all disciplines.

The delegation thanked the Prime Minister for his unflinching support to the college since its inception, describing it as an incentive towards more cooperation between both sides.
