Bahrain, Russia SMEs join hands to boost growth

Manama : Bahrain Small and Medium Enterprises Development Society signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Russian Small and Medium Business Corporation to support the growth of SMEs in Bahrain and increase the trade between the two countries. 

The deal aims exchange of experiences and best practices in the fields of finance, support, information sharing, marketing and implementation of educational programs on entrepreneurship and business, and supporting export oriented SMEs.

The MoU was signed yesterday during the visit of Russian business delegation to Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The Russian delegation comprised around 100 top officials including 60 business owners and investors.

Ahmed Sabah AlSaloom, Chairman of Bahrain SMEs Development Society signed the MoU with Alexander Braverman, Director General of Russian Small and Medium Business Corporation. BCCI Chairman Khalid Al Moayyed alongside board members, businessmen and representatives of both parties were present.

Ahmed Sabah AlSaloom commented, “The RSMB Corporation manages a huge portfolio of $1.2 billion that consists of various finances and investments, and we will try to make Bahrain a regional hub for its future investment that will target GCC and Middle East”.

AlSaloom also confirmed that the society will organise in near future an exhibition for the SMEs to create networking opportunities between investors and entrepreneurs as well as promoting investment opportunities
