Gulf Hotels Group CEO retires
Manama : The Chief Executive Officer of Gulf Hotels Group, Aqeel Raees, will retire from his position, effective 31 December 2016.
Gulf Hotels Group Chairman Farouk Yousuf Almoayyed announced the decision after accepting the request of Raees to retire during a meeting held on 26 October 2016.
Commenting on the decision, Chairman Farouk Almoayyed said, “Aqeel Raees has been an outstanding leader, who managed the company through very challenging times and market transitions and we are thankful for his contributions to the company and his distinguished tenure as CEO since 2002.”
Thanking the management for the valued trust that was extended to him, Aqeel Raees said, “It has been over 42 years since I started working with Gulf Hotels Group where I gained experience in hotel operations and made a lot friends on the personal and professional level in the hotel and tourism industry.”
