Shifa Al Jazeera lends a helping hand

MuscatReaching out to the needy, Shifa al Jazeera Medical Group handed out financial aid to various community organisations at a function held at the Qurm Amphitheatre last week.

K T Rabeeullah, Chairman of Shifa Al Jazeera Medical Group, distributed 20 per cent of the net profit from Shifa Al Jazeera Polyclinic -Al Khuwair (for the month of October) in the presence of  Indramani Pandey, Ambassador of India to the Sultanate, on the sidelines of a mega musical evening held at the Qurm Amphitheatre.

Beneficiaries included an orphanage, an underprivileged family and a poor village girl, all in Kerala.

Muscat based social activist Khalid Kunnummal received Rs500,000 on behalf of the orphanage, while another community worker Noushad Kakeri received financial packages of Rs400,000 and Rs24,000 on behalf of the poor family and the girl respectively.

Upcoming projects 

Shifa Al Jazeera Medical Group is all set to open multiple projects across wilayats, which includes hospitals in Al Khoud, Ruwi, Amerat, Bausher and Barka, and a visa medical centre and lab in Ghobra, scheduled to be opened during 2016-2018. 

The Group will also enter the retail shopping and travel and tours sectors with two hypermarkets in Al Khuwair and Ghobra; and travel and tours offices in Ruwi, Ghobra, Amerat, Barka and Al Hail over the next two years. A restaurant is also planned in Ruwi, and is set to open shortly.

The group has already launched the Shifa Al Jazeera Privilege Medical Card project, under which as many as 200,000 privilege healthcare cards are to be distributed among Omanis and expatriates.
