Manama : 100 million viewers and sports enthusiasts from over 20 countries around the world yesterday acknowledged the Kingdom as one of the most prominent hosts of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA).

This comes with the successful organising of the second edition of BRAVE Championship, which was held at Khalifa Sports City in Isa Town yesterday.

Broadcast live in over 20 countries, millions of spectators and MMA sports enthusiasts watched the ten amazing fights held here.

“This is the first Bahrain-based MMA event that went international. It’s an amazing progress for the Kingdom and our organisation,” KHK MMA Organisation CEO Mohammed Shahid told DT News, following the event.

The CEO, an MMA fighter himself, also announced that the third edition of BRAVE Championship will be held in Brazil by the end of February. He also confirmed that there would be more local and international events next year.

The event was held under the patronage and in the presence of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports First Deputy President, Bahrain Athletics Association President, Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Association Honorary President and HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa MMA Organisation (KHK MMA) Founder.
