Muharraq gears up to welcome National day
Manama : Around 200,000 red and white flowers were planted in the Muharraq Governorate alone as part of the ongoing nationwide preparations to celebrate Bahrain National Day.
Muharraq Municipality announced that it had planted the petunia flowers to coincide with the colours of the Bahraini flag on the occasion of the 44th National Day and the 17th Anniversary of HM the King’s Accession to the throne.
The municipality also confirmed the display of 10 water fountains at various public places like the Khalifa Al Kabeer Highway, Bahrain International Airport and Busaiteen.
“LED decorations are installed at several public parks including Khalifa bin Salman Park, Arad Fort Walkway and Al Ghous Walkway. Flags and other decorations are also put up on lamp posts, at local markets and the main streets of Muharraq Governorate,” the municipality added.
