State-of-the-art media centre opened for summit

Manama : A state-of-the-art media centre has been opened yesterday in the Gulf Hotel Convention Centre, on the eve of the 37th GCC Summit.

Minister of Information Affairs Ali bin Mohammed Al Rumaihi inaugurated the media hub in the presence GCC Assistant Secretary-General for Cultural and Media Affairs Khalid bin Salem bin Mohammed Al-Ghasani, heads of media delegations, GCC ambassadors and leading Gulf, Arab and international diplomatic, press and media personalities. 

Addressing ceremony, he described the summit as a new catalyst to pursue the GCC march of comprehensive development and protect the identity, security and stability of its member states. 

“More than 350 journalists representing 25 GCC, Arab and international news agencies and press and media establishments will cover the 37th summit”, he said while stressing the Ministry’s keenness on providing all technical facilities and media services. 

The centre features editorial units, telecommunications networks, radio and TV studios, video, editing and production rooms in addition to media stands showcasing GCC related publications.
