Saar Bombing: Teens get five year jail
Manama : Two Bahraini teenagers accused in a bombing case had their sentences upheld. The duo has been jailed for five years each.
They allegedly participated with nine other men to detonate a gas cylinder in the Saar village. The explosion caused damages to several shops, though no human causalities were reported.
According to court files, the men placed tyres around the cylinder and set them alight before they fled.
Police investigations led to identifying the culprits.
The High Criminal Court had earlier handed down the nine men 10 years of jail.
However the teenagers got the benefit of a lighter sentence since they were underage.
