THE DELONGHI BAHRAINI CHEF COMPETITION

Ready, Steady, Go! It’s time to Cook! The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain has the pleasure to announce the launch of The DeLonghi Bahraini Chef Competition, a dedicated two day cooking competition for Bahraini nationals, to take place on December 13th and 14that The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain.

As part of The Ritz-Carlton’s Community Footprints program, the ‘DeLonghi Bahraini Chef Competition’ will take place during the celebrations of the Kingdom’s national day with the aim to empower the aspiring Chefs of Bahrain and invest in nationals possessing outstanding culinary talent, allowing them to develop further in their field of choice.

Candidates who wish to apply are required to be a minimum of 18 years old and are to post a video of themselves making a dish of their choice on Instagram tagging @Bahrainichefcompetition and using the hashtag #Bahrainichefcompetition. A panel of judges composed of 5 renowned chefs and food connoisseurs will review the videos and create a shortlist of candidates. The final line-up of 16 participants will battle it out over a two-day competition event, to be held at The Ritz Carlton, Bahrain on December 13th and 14th, 2016. At the event, participants will perform a 2-hour cooking contest, with the judges selecting the final winner.

With its focus on developing local talent, The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain and DeLonghi will award the winner an exclusive culinary experience and exposure with a Michelin star chef at one of The Ritz-Carlton properties in Europe.

The winning dish will also be featured at one of the Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain’s restaurants. Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Christian Zandonella,
