Longest Bahraini flag to be unveiled
Manama : A 16.16km long Bahrain national flag, claimed to be the longest flag ever made will be displayed on the occasion of the 45th National Day of Bahrain on December 16.
The spectacular flag will be the major attraction of the “Indo-Bahrain Pride of Nation” celebrations, which emphasizes and strengthens the friendship between the Kingdom and India.
The flag display will start from Bahrain International Airport roundabout and will run till Prince Khalifa bin Salman Park, Hidd.
This mega celebration is going to be a world record attempt, the chief organiser of the event Pavithran Nileshwaram told DT News.
“The current world record of the longest flag was achieved in Syria in 2011 when people from all over Syria gathered to prepare 16km flag. So our team has extended the length to 18km,” Pavithran said.
‘We are mainly organising this celebration to show our love, gratitude and sincerity to Bahrain. This shows the Indian community’s dedication to Bahrain. Also we would like to take this opportunity to express our brotherhood between the two nations.”
The organising team members include Pavithran Nileshwaram, Kasim Dastageer, Sheeja Pavithran and Raju Devadas.
The celebration is being organised by Golden Graphics Co.SPC & Pride of Nation under the patronage of Muharraq Governorate.
