KOREAN  CINEMA NIGHT 2016: THE PIRATES

The Pirates is a 2014 South Korean period adventure film starring Son Ye-jin and Kim Nam gil. On the eve of the founding of the Joseon Dynasty, a whale swallows the Ming Emperor’s Seal of State being brought to Joseon by envoys from China. With a big reward on whoever brings back the royal seal, mountain bandits led by Jang Sa-jung go out to sea to hunt down the whale. But he soon clashes with Yeo-wol, a female captain of pirates, and unexpected adventure unfolds.

Already Tomorrow in Hong Kong is a 2015 romance-drama film written and directed by Emily Ting and starring Jamie Chung and Bryan Greenberg. The film premiered at the 2015 Los Angeles Film Festival received a limited theatrical and VOD release in February 2016. A Chinese-American toy designer takes a business trip to Hong Kong, where she spends a night wandering through the city with an expat American who works in finance. After parting ways, the pair is reunited one year later on a Hong Kong ferry, and is forced to reflect on how their brief time together changed their lives. ASIAN SCHOOL ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATIONS

The 33rd Annual Day Celebrations of the Asian School will be held on

December 14 &15 at Dr. Abdul Kalam Memorial Auditorium, Tubli. On both days the students of the School will present various cultural entertainment programs before the parents and well-wishers at the function starting from 7.00 p.m. Students will be presented with awards for their outstanding performance both in curricular and co curricular activities. Teachers also will be awarded for the dedicated service they have put in at the school.

On Wednesday Ahlam Al Aamer, Director, Directorate of Private Education, Ministry of Education will be the Chief Guest. Om Prakash, Second Secretary (Com.), Embassy of India S. Veera Pandian, General Manager, Al Ahlia Insurance Company will be the Guests of Honour.
