LIC International holds ‘Navrang’ talent festival

ManamaLIC International organised a colourful event “Navrang- A talent festival” yesterday at Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam.

Indian Ambassador Alok Kumar Sinha was the chief guest.  About 180 participants from seven schools showcased their talents in the event as radio hosts, singers, instrumentalists, and music band members.

The Asian School, New Millennium School, Sacred Heart School, British School, The Indian School, The New Indian School and Al Noor School participated in the event for which the preliminary rounds were held a month back. Twenty-four finalists with in the age group 8 o 17 years were shortlisted to perform at the final event. 

LIC International CEO and Managing Director Rajesh Kandwal, Indian Embassy Attache B.S. Bisht, ICICI Bank Country Head Rajesh Devlal, NMS-DPS Principal Arun Kuumar Sharma,  Asian School Principal Molly Mammen and BKS President P.V Radhakrishna Pillai were present. The winners in different category were awarded with trophies and cash prize on behalf of LIC International. LIC International General Manager Partha Samal also attended.

LIC International Navrang Champ of the Year in various categories are: Pavithra Padmakumar Menon- Singer (Asian School), Sahil Sasidharan – Instrumentalist (Indian School Bahrain)   

Best Rockstar Band of the Year Band is Beyond Latitude (NMS). Band members are: Rakshita Jain, Nithiloviya Balaji, Dharivi Bansal, Sahithi Chenduruthy, Sreeharshini Ganti.
