Bahrain court postpone verdict of couple accused in murdering baby
Manama : The couple accused of causing the death of a three-month boy will know their fate from the High Criminal Court on January 9.
The defendants are the baby’s 21-year-old stepmother and 28-year-old father, both of whom are blaming the other for the crime. The stepmother appeared yesterday with her own baby that she delivered during her time in detention.
The victim was taken to a hospital with vomiting due to head injuries. He succumbed to his wounds four days later.
The father told police that his wife had told him that the baby fell on his head. However she gave a different account of what happened – the father punched the baby’s head since he kept crying a lot.
