NCP upgrades levels of technical trainers with CAC

ManamaDirector of Sports Training and Development Center (STDC) at the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), Nabeel Taha, announced the renewal of an agreement teaching the fourth level of the National Coaching Programme (NCP) for trainers with the Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) for the next two years.

The agreement for 2017/18 follows directives by HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty the King’s representative for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), President of the BOC, which reflects the programme in upgrading national technical trainers’ performance and skills for the past 18 years. 

Taha added the fourth level certificate is considered one of the top training certificates in the world and includes various sports sciences and multiple functions of research which elevates a coach’ job.

It includes ten training courses throughout two years, which are - Long-term planning, Treatment and resuming activity, Strength and Physical Set-up, Periodical Planning, Psychology and Mental Training Skills, Power Systems Exercises, Environment and Sports, Sports Elite Training, Sports Leadership and Test and Analysis.

This programme has drew admiration of many countries especially the Leadership Development Center in Saudi Arabia.
