Man jailed for assaulting police officers
Manama : A Bangladeshi man was sentenced to six months in jail for assaulting two police officers while they tried to arrest him in a robbery case.
The owner of the company where the defendant worked had accused him of stealing equipment from their store.
According to court files, the officers who arrived to investigate the complaint, handcuffed the defendant before they began examining the crime scene.
The defendant attacked one officer with the handcuff and tried to escape.
However he was caught when he fell down.
The expat will be deported on completion of his jail time, stated the High Criminal Court.
