BACA marks Commemoration Day
Manama : The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) today celebrated the Commemoration Day with the participation of children from the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO), in line with BACA’s belief in the importance of social partnership, and keenness on contributing to all national occasions.
RCO-affiliated children planted seedlings of flowers in the Bahrain National Museum’s Darseen Café garden. They also participated in a workshop on making cards in which they wrote words dedicated to those who sacrificed their lives while defending the nation.
The event aimed to instill the concepts of giving, dedication and gratitude among youngsters, as well as to consolidate the values of patriotism and belonging to the nation among them.
The Commemoration Day was launched as per a royal order by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa as a token of gratitude of the brave servicemen of the Bahrain Defence Force, Interior Ministry and National Guard. Observed on December 17 every year, the event is an opportunity to highlight the achievements of Bahrainis who set the best examples of dedication and bravery in serving and defending the nation.
